MEET VALERIE

Fast forward to 1991. As a single mother needing to find meaning and keep a roof over her head I enrolled in a 5,000-hour massage program, graduated, and then enrolled in an 800-hour subtle energies, polarity therapy and reiki graduate program. I then studied and received advanced training at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. Esalen is home to the human potential movement that developed in the early 60s.

I have always loved to learn. I recently completed an online training with Richard Tarnas (Cosmos and Psyche author) and Stan Grof (Holotropic Breathwork author and founder). I have certifications in various Yoga traditions including Kripalu, hatha and yin, and assisted in training yoga teachers with IKYTA. I also am certified in sound therapy with gong-master Don Conreux.

In 2009 I began my training with The Steven Forrest School of Astrology. I’m certified as a level 2 Astrologer through his program and have been in private practice since 2011.

I offer weekly classes in yoga, meditation, and sound therapy. My classes are a fusion of these traditions. I love to teach, to encourage, and to foster a sense of empowerment in others.

Along with weekly yoga classes, I see astrology and yoga clients individually, lead small groups, and facilitate workshops and retreats. ​
